Purebred dogs have been a life-long passion.  From age six, I have been involved with whelping, showing, and breeding.  I learned to read by studying pedigrees, genetics books and breeding guides.

As with any newcomer, I was helped along the way by some fantastic people in the various breeds that fascinated me.  First, I must thank my parents who purchased my first purebred Chihuahua, Patsy.  Indulging their only child, they took me to dog shows, training classes, yearly excursions to Westminister Kennel Club and allowed me to study any and all aspects of responsible ownership and breeding. Thanks to Kay Finch (Crown Crest Afghans) and Sunny Shay (Grandeur), I learned the glory of sighthound movement.  From Anna B. Vinyard, I learned sportsmanship in the ring.  Betty Dullinger was our traveling companion and never failed to have her car packed and ready for a dog show.

On this page are some of the wonderful dogs who impacted my understanding of the canine world.  While these friends are no longer on this earth,  they will always be with me and I will look forward to eventually seeing them again.
